In this modern age, you can survive without ever searching for food. But that is precisely why so many people feel restless and weighed down. A glimpse of what our tours are really like
It depends on the tour. The Ocean Adventure Tour accepts ages 3 and up, Shore Fishing is ages 5 and up, and the Sunset Sanshin Tour has no age restrictions. We tailor the tour to suit your child, so please feel free to ask.
We operate in light rain — in fact, nature in the rain has its own charm. If conditions become unsafe due to typhoons or strong winds, we will cancel the tour and offer a reschedule or full refund.
Basically, just come as you are. We provide all the equipment you need. Just wear comfortable clothes, shoes that can get wet (for ocean tours), sunscreen, and bring a towel.
We can arrange pickup within Ishigaki Island. Please let us know when you book. The default is to meet at the tour location, but we are happy to help if you do not have a rental car.
Up to 3 days before: free / 2 days to 1 day before: 50% / Same day: 100%. No cancellation fee applies if we cancel due to weather.
Guests are never involved in any dangerous tasks such as setting traps or dispatching. You observe and accompany from a safe distance. Hamachan is a licensed professional hunter, so you are in safe hands.
Since we accept only one group per day, we recommend booking as early as possible. During peak season (July - September), booking 1 - 2 months ahead is advised. Same-day bookings are also possible when there is availability.
Yes, solo guests are welcome. Please note that each tour has a minimum charge equivalent to 2 guests. We are happy to make solo travelers feel right at home.
Life jackets are mandatory on all ocean tours. Hamachan is a professional who knows every inch of Ishigaki's seas and mountains. We constantly monitor weather and tides, and will change the course or cancel if there is any risk.
